Dear Readers

We have been talking about it for months now and it is high time to launch the fundraising campaign at https://www.leetchi.com/c/projets-de-zainal-ibrahim to organise the so called « Mayotte Festival » from 3rd to 6th August 2017.

So why on earth will you donate to this ambitious? After all, it is none of your business the fact some people’s dreams are crushed due to the lack of education, the lack of government support and due to a very failing and corrupt system. As citizens of the world, we must do our utmost best to give hope to people and to help them reclaim their inner power so below are the goals we will strive to meet during the 3 day event:

1. To promote a good mobility ie to help A level Mahorais students plan to further their high education to have a clear career path, to do some concrete research on which part of either France Mainland or Reunion Island they will be studying. To know in advance the type of administrative requirements needed to obtain a scholarship, a health or home insurance for instance. Plenty of information will be available for students and parents to help them make the right decision.
2. To promote entrepreneurship and local talents. Mayotte has already been recognized as the 4th most beautiful place in the world to visit by Canada so we would like to put the island on the map for its culture, its ability to export great hand made goods such as soaps, bags or purses, its beautiful sense of fashion and its unknown yet talented singers and dancers.
3. To promote Sports as a mean to develop self discipline and resilience.
